About Michelle - Chartered Coaching Psychologist
The science of change. The art of being human.
Twenty years in the creative industries, now combined with chartered expertise in coaching and positive psychology.
For more than twenty years, I built my career in the film and television industry. It was a world I loved - creative, collaborative and constantly evolving. Yet alongside that, I found myself increasingly fascinated by psychology: by human behaviour, the stories we tell ourselves, what helps people navigate challenge, and how meaningful, lasting change really happens.
That curiosity led me to retrain as a Chartered Coaching Psychologist, combining my experience of high-performing, high-pressure environments with the science of coaching psychology, positive psychology and behaviour change.
Today, that combination sits at the heart of everything I do. I bring together real-world experience and psychological science to help individuals, leaders and organisations understand themselves more deeply, navigate complexity with confidence, and create meaningful, sustainable change.
Real-world experience. Chartered psychological expertise. A deeply human approach to change and flourishing.
My approach as a coaching psychologist
I’m Michelle White (CPsychol) - Psychologist, Coach and Consultant.
Grounded in science. Guided by humanity
Working across the UK and internationally, I combine the scientific rigour of psychology with the practical realities of life, work, leadership and human behaviour. As one of the UK's first Chartered Coaching Psychologists, I bring specialist expertise in positive psychology and behaviour change to help people and organisations create meaningful, sustainable practices grounded in evidence rather than trends or short term solutions. What makes my work distinctive is the ability to bridge individual wellbeing, performance and organisational culture, so we address not just what you want, but everything shaping your ability to get there.
Driving change in the creative sector
Alongside my work through MW Psychology, I'm the Co-Director of 6ft From the Spotlight, a pioneering social enterprise dedicated to improving wellbeing, psychological safety and responsible working practices across the creative industries.
Through this work, I've helped develop new approaches to leadership, production culture and workforce wellbeing, including the creation of the Wellbeing Facilitator role. It has given me a unique understanding of the psychological demands of high-performing, fast-paced creative environments and continues to inform my wider work with individuals, leaders and organisations across many sectors.
